... Many bar mitzvah parties have a theme such as a music theme to celebrate your child's love of playing the piano, guitar or how about a saxophone! Another great favorite is a games theme where decorations consist of playing cards. Use cut outs of hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds and decorate your tables or walls. Our chocolate playing cards are a great bar mitzvah favor your guests will enjoy! Another favorite is a Magic theme where tricks are the highlights used with playing cards, magic hats that make rabbits disappear or hire a professional magician for a great entertainment delight. If tradition is the way to go, an Israeli theme should consist of the traditional colors of israel, white and blue. Decorations can consist of the israeli flag, posters of the the Torah. Use your own personal experiences to connect with your heritage and your son's bar mitzvah or daughter's bat mitzvah will be an event that the whole family will remember for many years to come and retelling to new family members.
The bar mitzvah is a Jewish tradition for a Jewish boy at the age of 13 and the bat mitzvah is for the Jewish girl at the age of 12 or 13. It is a time where the child is welcomed as an adult in the Jewish community. The bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah celebrates the calling to the Torah and consists of much preparation before the actual celebration. This is a very solemn celebration and deep in historical traditions and a time where family members are usually only invited. However, if you are one of the fortunate individuals to witness this celebrated event, you are truly fortunate! You will be welcomed graciously and treated as a member of the family. It is a time to learn a Jewish tradition and the importance of the Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah!
